We do give you plenty of time to change and freshen up.

Lunch will be served at one winery and a cheese, salami, cracker & bread trays at the 3rd winery.

You can't get a more enjoyable relaxing day, this day tour of rafting then wine is perfect!

FYI - Wine tasting after your rafting trip is not to much to fit into one day it actually goes together quite well.

Depending on the size of your group, we should be back in Santa Fe between 4:30 - 5:30 pm

The Racecourse

This is the most popular rafting trip in New Mexico.

Perfect trip for first timer whitewater enthusiasts.

It is class II-III(IV at high water) and absolutely perfect for everyone.

When the water levels are especially high, we do raise the minimum age

as this section grows into an extremely fun and continuous section of

class III and IV whitewater.

You can always change the trip you have chosen the day before your tour date.

Any questions regarding the class of the river for your tour date please contact

New Mexico River adventures at (800) 983-7756

This is the perfect trip for the entire family or those who just feel like a lazy float down the river.

It also affords us time to practice paddling techniques, swimming and simply enjoying the Rio Grande.

Toward the end of the trip we will float through the historic village of Pilar before continuing

through some fun class II rapids and on to our take-out.

New Mexico River Adventures guides are the best in the business, focusing on safety

and guest service as a top priority. All are extremely knowledgeable about the area's geology,

ecology and history and just love being on the river.

Many with experience on rivers all over the country and across the globe.

The Racecourse is unique in that we can always run these trips all spring, summer and fall!

We are so lucky to have this type of river in our backyard!

The higher water levels on these stretches are usually in the late spring as the snow

melt comes off of the mountains.

During the middle to late summer months, the water levels get lower and the water temperature rises.

Great times for everyone to enjoy as the swimming is superb and the rapids still fun and challenging for all ages.

With rapids that range in difficulty from class 2 to 3, it is a truly a great trip for the entire family!

Minimum age for the Racecourse is 5 (13 at higher water levels).

Or just wrap your bottle of wine up and put in your check in baggage.

You may also go on line after you are home and order wine from the wineries on their web site.
