Time spent at each winery?
There is no set time.
The average is about an hour at each winery.
Plenty of time after your tastings to enjoy a glass of wine with your snacks.
Or walk the grounds enjoying the scenery.
How do I get my wine home:
You can ship wine at each winery, as long as your state allows it.
A great option to save you money is to purchase a shipping box
from Black Mesa Winery or at check out.
6 bottle box $7 & a 12 bottle box $10 or so.
Check it in with your luggage.
Or if you just have a couple of bottles, wrap it up and put it in your suitcase.
What kind of vehicle will I be in:
Vehicle used will be determined by the size of your group.
14 passenger mini coach bus with individual seats for each guest, with plenty of room for your items.
Comfortable, forward facing 14 passenger Ford Transit passenger XLT
Can I bring the whole family:
Children under the age of 17 or younger need to be accompanied by an adult that is
18 or older who is a relative or legal guardian of the minor while in the tasting rooms.
Our dog's are our family and are allowed, as long as they are well behaved and leashed.
Can we drink on the bus:
Yes, bring your favorite beverages for our trip to the vineyards.
Tasting fees are not included, & here is why.
This is to SAVE you $$$$
You are not required to taste at the wineries or buy wine.
Fees are charged by wineries to compensate for the wines they pour, and labor
for your wine tasting experience.
Nearly all wineries charge these fees, but most will waive them if you are purchasing
a certain amount of bottles of wine. ASK!
Some guest like to share their tastings or even skip a winery.
If we pay for your tasting fees, wineries WILL NOT waive the fee, so you pay the fee whether you purchase wine or not.
The tasting fee's are currently $20 for ALL THREE WINERIES per guest for six tastes at each winery.
Fee may be a little more all depending on the size of your group.
Do I tip the winery host?
It would be much appreciated if you tip your servers at least 15% please
Your servers do not make a commission or does NM Wine Tours on any wine purchased.
We suggest eating breakfast, drink lot's of water with your visit to NM.
Our elevation is between 6,200 to 7,000 ft.
If you are not use to the high altitude, please pace your self with extra glass's
of wine purchased on our tours.
Servers at ALL establishments including the wineries can not and will not serve guest's that are inebriated.
We have never had this issue, but you never no :)
Our lunch & snack platters:
To cover some of our costs for all the wonderful food provided
by New Mexico Wine Tours a fee of $20 per person will be added to the cost of your tour.
