This is the perfect trip for the entire family or those who just feel like a lazy float down the river.

It also affords us time to practice paddling techniques, swimming and simply enjoying the Rio Grande.

Toward the end of the trip we will float through the historic village of Pilar before continuing

through some fun class II rapids and on to our take-out.

New Mexico River Adventures guides are the best in the business, focusing on safety

and guest service as a top priority. All are extremely knowledgeable about the area's geology, ecology

and history and just love being on the river. Many with experience on rivers all over the country

and across the globe. The Racecourse is unique in that we can always run these trips all spring, summer and fall!

We are so lucky to have this type of river in our backyard!

The higher water levels on these stretches are usually in the late spring as the snow melt

comes off of the mountains. During the middle to late summer months, the water levels get lower and the water temperature rises. These are great times for everyone to enjoy as the swimming is superb and the rapids still fun

and challenging for all ages.

With rapids that range in difficulty from class 2 to 3, it is a truly a great trip for the entire family!

Minimum age for the Racecourse is 5 (13 at higher water levels).

Once again, we prepay for your rafting trip and tip your rafting guide with NM River Adventures

There are several reasons why we do not include your tasting fees.

You pay as you go after your tastings at each winery with a small tasting fee.

Some guest like to share their tastings with their travel partner or even skip a winery.

Wineries will waive your tasting fee with a certain amount of bottles purchased.

Each establishment we visit has a different arrangement with their own great discounts which they offer our guests.

Your tasting fees are more than reasonable all 3  wineries a whole whopping $20

Please be considerate and tip your servers!

Gratuity for your driver/guide/hostess is not included, but much appreciated,

and can be added at check out when booking your tour.

How will I get my wine home?

You may ship wine from all of the wineries.

Please check your state shipping laws if you plan to have wine shipped from the wineries.

Or you can buy a wine shipper box from one of the wineries (holds 6 to 12 bottles),

Fill it up and check it on your return flight like luggage.

Or just wrap your bottle of wine up and put in your check in baggage.

You may also go on line after you are home and order wine from the wineries on their web site.

All establishments visited take all major credit cards so you may purchase wine to take home or have it shipped.

All have wine clubs that you can join that save you money.

Guests must be 21 and have valid photo ID with you to taste wine!
